Activists from all ends of Connecticut visited the Maple Farm Sanctuary in Mendon, MA this past weekend to work on a series of projects including putting up new fencing, building a new stall for Max the cow and some much needed weeding. MFS's 2nd Annual Fundraiser takes place on October 21st and visitors will be able to meet all 80 of the residents of the farm, including the wonderful individuals in the photos below. Your can view the web flyer for the fundraiser here. If you would like to volunteer at MFS, please get in touch with us via email (justin_goodman@sbcglobal.net).

Derek, your photos turned out great!
Thanks, Chelsea
This was my first time visiting Maple Farm Sanctuary. All I can say is that I was deeply impressed by Cheri and Jim and the work they do. I felt privileged to give some of my labor.
Whatever purpose this sanctuary serves, it is an important place; be it just to provide a home for unwanted 'food' animals to live out their lives in peace and comfort, to show 'animal lovers' and anyone who cares that their dinner comes from living, breathing, feeling creatures, or to remind us, the 'hardcore' and cynical animal rights activists, that ultimately what we do isn't just about conflict and fights- it's about persons- feeling and different looking persons that happen not to be human.
To Cheri and Jim, thank you for your amazing work. To Chelsea, Joe, Bill, Arlene, Sofie, Stacey, and Justin- thanks for a very good day.
To everyone- support Maple Farm Sanctuary- it's an amazing place.
that is very very awesome of you guys to help out Maple Farm! I have been there many times, cleaning the stalls, helping to take care of the sweetie faces! I've also organized potluck lunches at the farm for Worcester Vegan Society. I heard Justin will be there at the fundraiser helping out, and I'm volunteering, so I am excited to meet him (and everyone else :)
